Area 88 covers 17 stores in and around Harrogate, York and Scarborough

  • Responsible for running induction courses normally attended by groups of between 6 and 15 people
  • Have revised the training materials with the approval of the management (including computer-based presentations)
  • Responsible for keeping staff training records
  • Ensuring that the training is above the legal specifications so that the staff meet the high standards recommended by Sainsbury’s

The position was Flexi-time, I was responsible for running courses, as and when requested by the stores, I am therefore willing to sacrifice my time to ensure that courses were run properly and conveniently to the staff at the stores. As a trainer/inductor, I am presentable and well-mannered.

  • Trained Several Members of staff, both previously employed and newly employed on a new till system
  • Represented the store and the staff as Colleague Council Representative, presenting a list of constructive feedback and suggestions from the staff to the CEO of the company

Maintained the school computers, printers, monitors and other peripherals, this involved troubleshooting the school’s computers, and involved a lot of communication between myself, and the teachers, to assess and prevent possible problems

  • Laid the groundwork to have the computers networked, covering the whole school, a project that has since been finished
  • Devised and taught lessons to some of the children in how to safely access the internet and use search engines
  • Introduced key members of staff to the benefits of Digital Video and computer-based Editing

  • Contacted local companies, both in person and over the phone, attempting to acquire sponsorship and donations from them for the event

Video Operator for School Production, Passmores Secondary School, Harlow

  • Liaised with both the Production’s director and a professional Videographer to film scenes that were to be used on large screens on either side of the stage during the play
  • Worked with an assistant to cue the videos and make seamless transitions between the different scenes
