Key Competencies

  • Team Work – During my course at University of Bradford, I participated in several group-work modules, including Design for Industry, during which time I worked as part of a group to accomplish a single goal
  • Problem Solving/Analytical - When a new computerised system was introduced to the shop I worked in, I was tasked with learning the full system and then creating the means for trainees to learn the new procedures in a quick and simple manner
  • Communication - While organising the May Day carnival at the University of Bradford Student Union, I phoned and visited several local businesses to acquire their sponsorship of the event, and acquire prizes for the stalls
  • Customer Service - During the first week of the new ‘Zavvi Delivers’ computer system, I personally took over twice as many orders as anyone else in the store, and was the second highest ranking in sales on the 17 store region
  • Planning and Organisation - Working on a Flexi-time system as an Area Trainer for Sainsbury’s Local, has made me better able to organise my time and work to a hectic timetable

Achievements

  • Awarded Full Colours for commitment to the Student’s Union 2004-2006 – This award was for my time on the Executive Committee of the Cult TV Society
  • Awarded the President’s Award for my voluntary work at the Student’s Union 2005-2006 – This award was for the work that I undertook assisting in the creation of a successful May Day Carnival

Sport and Leisure Activities

  • Playing and running several pen and paper role-playing games including Dungeons and Dragons, Cinematic Unisystem,and the White Wolf story-telling system
  • I regularly go to the cinema and enjoy keeping up-to-date with new movie releases, both animated and live Action
  • I have, in the past, played Field Hockey and I am a qualified Level 1 Coach for this sport
